The Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation, in partnership with the Patterson Library and the Chautauqua Cattaraugus Library System, is offering a free two-part Grant Seeking Basics training on Tuesday, October 11, 2016. The training runs from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Patterson Library located at 40 South Portage Street in Westfield, New York.
The Grant Writing Basics portion of the training starts at 9 a.m. followed by the Foundation Directory Online training at 10:30 a.m. Training participants will increase their grant writing skills and learn how to search for grant sources through the Foundation Directory Online database. Participants are encouraged to attend both sessions; however, attending only one is permitted.
Professional grant writer Sherry Lantz will conduct the Grant Seeking Basics training. Erin Hauenstein, Patterson Library Director, will facilitate the Foundation Directory Online searching session.
Foundation Directory Online is a fully searchable database that includes detailed profiles of all active U.S. Foundations, as well as an extensive file of grants recently awarded by the nation’s top funders.
Registration is required as space is limited. For more information and to register for this free training, contact Eileen Dunn, NCCF Program Coordinator, at 366-4892 or edunn@nccfoundation.org by October 3, 2016.
