NCCF Kicks Off Neighborhood Pride Challenge with Informational Session

The Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation (NCCF) is kicking off a new initiative, and everyone is invited to participate! The Neighborhood Pride Challenge (NPC) is inspiring individuals, neighborhoods, and entire communities to develop innovative projects to revitalize their neighborhoods while enhancing community partnerships.

To introduce community members to the initiative and the application process, NCCF is providing an informational session to answer questions, share ideas, and become inspired. There are two opportunities to attend the session on Wednesday, November 16. The first is at 9 a.m. and the second is at 7 p.m., both at the Fredonia Incubator, 214 Central Avenue, Dunkirk. Parking is available in the back off of Washington Street. All community neighborhoods in northern Chautauqua County are eligible for this unique opportunity and are strongly encouraged to attend.

NCCF will consider NPC grant requests in the range of $10,000. Applications are due on February 17, 2017.  The guidelines require a 1:1 match for all projects. Examples of match include volunteer hours, donated supplies, business sponsorships, proceeds from fundraisers, and direct cash donations. All NPC projects require a minimum of two (2) neighborhood partnerships. The grant application and a complete list of guidelines are available on the NCCF website at www.nccfoundation.org/neighborhood-grant.

Join NCCF on November 16 and bring your neighbors! You are under no obligation to participate so come and enjoy a snack while listening to the program. RSVP by contacting Eileen Dunn by phone at 366-4892 or by e-mail at edunn@nccfoundation.org.

The NCCF, celebrating 30 years of charitable leadership, is committed to improving the community through the promotion of local philanthropy, strategic grantmaking, and community leadership.  Served by a small staff and governed by an all-volunteer board of directors, the organization has distributed over $12.2 million in the form of grants and scholarships within the community.  Truly community in nature, the NCCF is an organization created by and for the people of northern Chautauqua County.  For more information, visit www.nccfoundation.org.
